Woods, Wheeling, Grady notch state titles

Area athletes excelled at the North Dakota Class B State Track Meet held in Bismarck. Alexis Woods won her fourth consecutive 400 meter championship for Parshall. Ryan Wheeling took two first place medals in the 1600 and 3200 meter events and Elijah Grady won the discus.

The Eagles boys team finished in 3rd place as a team. Kindred won the meet with 81 points followed by Killdeer with 55, New Town 52, Carrington 46, and Dickinson Trinity 43 to round out the top 5. The Eagles won 3 individual titles and had a 2nd place finish in another.

Leading the way was Wheeling with a 1st place finish in the 1600 meter run and the 3200 meter run. He also came away with a 4th place finish in the 800 meter run. Grady took 1st place in the discus throw with a toss of 160 feet 3 inches. Jalen Chase took 3rd place in the 3200 meter run. Joe Chase was 6th in the 800 meter run. Running on the 2nd place 3200 meter relay were Joe Chase, Jalen Chase, Scott Hale, and Ryan Wheeling. Also competing very well for the Eagles was Chace Hale who narrowly missed placing by getting 9th place in the 3200 meter run. It was an excellent team effort for the Eagles to win the 3rd place trophy with no seniors on the team.
