Wildcats too much for Braves
By Hunter Andes
District 15 play got underway north of the Missouri last week. In two tough games with thin margins, the North Shore-Plaza Wildcats fell to the New Town Eagles Thursday, while conquering the Parshall Braves Saturday.
“New town is a very tough team with lots of talented guys with length,” Ty Edwards, NSP sophomore guard, said. “They are all very quick and can be very dangerous.”
Edwards added that Parshall not only plays very well together, but they are coached extremely well.”
Despite the challenges, the Cats weren’t an easy defeat for New Town, and remained on top of the Braves for the entirety of the game.
The Braves had an opportunity to take the game or advance it into overtime in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, but fell short. The buzzer rang, and the final score was 69-66 NSP.
