Eagles hit century mark in win over Max
By MARVIN BAKER

In four games thus far New Town has left no doubt it means business on the boys basketball floor.
Chuck Hunter’s Eagles have won all four of their games, three of them in convincing fashion and in one game, last Saturday against Max, they eclipsed the century mark in scoring for the first time. The only close game was a 70-64 win in Watford City.
With three of the starting five back from last year, and several others who had plenty of floor experience, the Eagles are on a roll and have no intentions of resting on their laurels. Hunter acknowledged he has plenty of depth and can “run” 10 players deep.
But it’s the nucleus of three that seem to be making a lot of things happen early in the season. Senior and floor leader Alex Baker has scored at least 20 points in each of his four games and is averaging 22.5 points per game.
