Runners perform well in Velva

This week the New Town Eagles and Parshall Braves Cross Country Teams headed to Velva for the International Meet. The Eagles boys took first place over Rugby while the Braves finished ninth. The Lady Eagles placed second and the Lady Braves were sixth.
Rugby dominated the girls event taking the first six places for a perfect score of 15. Hailey White Owl paced the Lady Eagles, finishing eighth with a time of 21:25 followed by Emma Wheeling in 11th place. The rest of the top five for the Lady Eagles were Lanell Mongram, 18th, Ariana Littleowl, 21st, and Zoe Fox, 23rd, for a team score of 81.
