Regional volleyball tournament set
Regional volleyball tournament set The Region 8 volleyball tournament gets under way Monday in the Northern Lights Community Center in New Town and concludes Thursday night with championship and third-place matches. The tournament will decide who will be going to the state Class B volleyball tournament in Minot beginning Nov. 21. Starting at 3 p.m., Monday, the first-place team from District 16 will take on the No. 4 team from District 15. Twenty-five minutes following the conclusion of that match, the second-place team from District 15 will play No. 3 from District 16. District 16 second place will follow 25 minutes later with No. 3 from District 15 and the final match of the day will pit the top team in District 15 against the fourth-place seed from District 16. Semifinals will begin at 6 p.m., on Tuesday with the second match beginning 25 minutes after the conclusion of the first.
