Rain doesn’t dampen Golf Scramble
By Jerry W. Kram
Rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the participants at the first Missouri River Resources Golf Scramble at the Edgewater Country Club last weekend.
David Williams, CEO of Missouri River Resources, the sponsor of the event, said the level of play was terrific despite the conditions. He said 27 teams participated in three flights. Jared Eagle was the tournament director.
"Even though it was pouring rain, our groundskeeper Orville Drosdol gave us permission to go out there," Williams said. "The course held us and it was a great time for all."
Williams said he got to watch the top two teams in the championship division go head to head and was impressed with how the golfers handled the conditions. Team Greywolf, which was made up of Steve Hall, Jared Eagle, Speedy Bruce and Noah Williams beat Team Keplin from Belcourt, Laramie Keplin, Charles Desjarlais, Gary Thomas and Mark Desjarlais.
