Penalties kill in Braves opener

By Jerry W. Kram
The Parshall Braves showed a lot of promise in their opener against the Divide County Maroons Friday, but the couldn’t overcome a series of penalties that called back two big plays. The Braves found them selves on the short end of a 30-14 decision.
First year head coach Jay Clauson was pleased with some of what he saw, but felt some mental errors cost the Braves the game.
“We made some dumb penalties,” Clauson said. “We got tired at the end of the game, so we are going to have do some more running this week. We missed tackles. We missed tackles like crazy. We play these guys again in four weeks and it will be a different game.”
