Outlaws rob Braves in Parshall

It was a long night for the Parshall Braves as the Ray-Powers Lake Outlaws ran roughshod at Hedburg Field in Parshall, winning 55-10.
Braves Head Coach Jay Clauson had reason to feel optimistic despite the result. He said the team played better and smarter than they did the week before and thinks the Braves will continue to improve as the season progresses.
“It didn’t go right from the start and I think it’s because of our tackling,” Clauson said. “We missed tackles. I think, in fact, I know our players are as good as these guys. Sure, we had less players, but we just missed tackles. Our athletes are great athletes and all could be starters on that team. We just have to learn to read (plays) better and tackle. We have to start getting serious.”
The Outlaws took little time to score, taking the opening kickoff and marching down the field for a touchdown with 11:14 left in the first quarter. The Braves fumbled a handoff on their first play, giving the Outlaws a short field, and making the deficit 13-0 at the 9:40 mark.
