New Town/Parshall golfers qualify for state
Shayna Taft and Gina Poitra, both with the combined New Town/Parshall golf club, have qualified for state high school competition in the Ray Invitational state qualifier held last Friday.
Taft, who finished third individually, shot a 54 and a 45 for a combined total of 99, while Poitra was fourth with her 50 and 51.
As a team, the girls were fifth with a score of 474. Watford City won the invitational with a 427, followed by Kenmare, Tioga, Ray and New Town/Parshall.
