New Town remained in third place among all teams in District 15 following a convincing, 62-47 win over Max last Thursday night. The win pushed the Eagles to 5-2 overall and brought the girls to within a half game of second place Stanley.
Watford City remains out in front in the district, but just lost its first game of the year on Monday night.
Freshman Baeleigh Brady continues to be a productive member of the team as she had another good night Thursday, piling up 20 points against the Cossacks. Brianna Johnson also scored 20, in leading Max.
Taylor McGrady added 19, while Mia Wilkinson had her first big night in varsity action with 10 and Gabrielle Wilkinson added seven, showing that the Eagles continue to click on all cylinders leading down the stretch of the girls basketball season.
