New Town sails through district tournament
North Shore, Parshall, New Town, Watford City advance to Region 8

New Town moved it’s record to 20-1 after winning two consecutive games in the District 15 tournament following a first-round bye.
The biggest challenge for the Eagles came in the championship when they played the Watford City Wolves who advanced after beating the Stanley Blue Jays in the semis.
These two teams had met twice before during the regular season with New Town coming out on top both times. Again, the Eagles won, but it was a close contest with New Town winning 56-51.
New Town took a big, early lead but the Wolves came storming back, outscoring the Eagles in both the second and third quarters. At the end of three, New Town was clinging to a 41-39 edge.
