New Town participates in Class B Indoor track
Four New Town athletes participated in the Class B Indoor track meet last Saturday at North Dakota State University with two of them winning events.
Justin Many Ribs won the 1600-meter run in a time of 5:00.05 and he also placed fourth in the 800-meter run. Many Ribs scored 15 points with his two places and ran very well early in the season, according to his coach, Brian Anderson.
Shanice Lambert and Jayli Fimbres scored 27 points between the two of them in a strong performance as well. Lambert took first in the 1600 with a time of 5:35.05 and third in the 800 with a time of 2:30.70. Fimbres finished second in the 1600 with a 5:35.66 and was sixth in the 800 with a 2:33.19. Brooke Fettig also competed in the 1600 (6:50.13) and the 800 (2:58.74) meter runs for the girls’ team.
