New Town Parshall golfers going great guns
The New Town Parshall Golf Team has performed well in several meets this week.
Thursday, the Girls Golf Team took first place in Stanley. Hope Froshaug took the individual title and Tamara Fox took fourth place.
In Watford City Tuesday, the girls took second place with Froshaug again leading the way with the individual title. Tamara Fox was sixth. Brooklyn Fox seventh and Taylor Pennington finished 10th.
New Town middle school boys played well at Watford City last Thursday but came up short in placing fifth out of nine teams. Coach Carroll Howling Wolf said Percy Howling Wolf lead the team with a score of 55.
Despite windy and rainy conditions at the Watford City Invite JV and middle school golfers placed two golfers in the top three places. First place went Journey Celo and Winter Old Rock place third in thtournament. Coach Carroll Howling Wolf said conditions weren’t the best but the girls kept playing and grinding it out.
