New Town Lady Eagles take fourth in Region

The New Town Eagles saw their season come to an end with a loss in the third place game of the Region 8 Girls Basketball Tournament in New Town on Monday. They fell to the Trenton Tigers 48-41.
The game was an evenly fought battle for most of the game. The Tigers did open up the second quarter with a seven point run but the Eagles fought back to pull with three points of the half. However, the Tigers continued to slowly pull away from the Eagles by two points each of the last three quarters to earn the seven point victory.
