New Town JV clips Braves

With the Parshall Braves rebuilding their lineup around a group of sophomores and younger players, the New Town Eagles sent out a junior varsity lineup in the District 15 matchup on Tuesday. The young Eagles did their job, bringing home a district win, 47-39.
Khael Decoteau was the only regular starter in the game for the Eagles, and the junior was good for 10 points against the Braves. Hunter Street led the Eagles with 14 points. Lawrence Polanco led the Braves with 11 points.
“Parshall is a bit down this year so we didn’t start any of our seniors,” said Eagles JV Coach Chuck Hunter. “It was good to get some of our younger varsity guys and JV some playing time. A lot of these guys have been playing against each other since junior high, I think.”
