New Town Cross Country brings home State Championship

New Town’s Cross Country team’s captured the State Championship October 27th in Dickinson. Seven New Town Boy’s made All State, finishing in the top 20, which broke the school record. Symbria Bell, Lady Eagle, came in second place overall out of the 196 runners that competed.
The boys had a great overall team effort They had a score of 64 followed by Grafton with 147, Beulah - Hazen 172, Griggs County Central 186, and Lisbon 190. The Eagles were led by Ryan Wheeling in 7th place followed by Dylan Bear 11th, Scott Hale 12th, Wayne Fox 16th, Terrance Steele 18th, Joe Baker 19th, Nape Fox 20th, Chace Hale 21st, Daniel LeBeau 32nd, and Jalen Chase who had a leg injury, but finished anyway in 145th place. There were 191 total runners in the race.
Parshall’s Dailray Connor had a very good finish to a strong season, coming in fourth. The Braves were 15th in the state with a score of 530.
