New Town boys strong in distance events

New Town’s boys track team took it to the cinder in the distance events in the Watford City Rotary track meet held last Tuesday, taking second and third in the 1600-meter run, second in the 3200-meter run and fifth in the 400-meter dash.
In addition, the 3200-meter relay team finished second in 8:47.29, only five seconds behind Williston, but three seconds ahead of neighboring Parshall.
New Town finished the meet with 34 points, while Watford City easily won their home meet with 139. Williston finished second and Beulah was third.
