New Town alumni split in basketball fundraiser

There are two winter seasons in North Dakota, the holiday season and the basketball season. New Town’s basketball fans got to peek inside their present a little early this year when they got to see this year’s teams take on the New Town alumni teams in the second annual Student-Alumni Basketball Fundraiser on Veteran’s Day.
The event was sponsored by the Basketball Parents group and the money raised will go for equipment for the teams.
"The parents wanted to do something for the basketball teams," said Damon Brady, head coach of the Eagles girls basketball team. "This was the parents’ idea. It was a good evening of basketball. There was a good crowd and a good early taste of basketball."
