Minot Ryan too much for Eagles
A perfect afternoon for baseball in New Town

Minot Ryan jumped on Jesse Bear early and roughed him up enroute to a 22-1, Region 7 high school baseball victory over the New Town Eagles. Despite a long first inning, Bear stayed the course and pitched strongly throughout the contest.
Unfortunately for Bear, the lead-off man singled, which was followed by a 2-run homer. That really set the stage for the rest of the game.
Bear later got into a jam when Minot Ryan loaded the bases. With two men on, Bear was in a duel with a Minot Ryan batter, but lost him to a walk after a two-strike count. The next batter tripled to center and emptied the bases, scoring three runs.
