Maroons dampen Eagles Homecoming
By Jerry W. Kram
New Town Eagles Head Football Coach Len Abrams is used to working with a short crew this year, especially with the injury loss of quarterback Noah Wollschlager. The depleted Eagles were no match for the highly regarded Divide County Maroons in this year’s Eagles Homecoming game, falling by a score of 44-8.
"Our numbers are getting better," Abrams said. "That really helps us out because we are getting to the point where we can practice as a full team. We don’t have to go half lines. Every time you have full numbers it helps. Plus it gives us fresh legs late in games."
