Lady Eagles end regular season on a high note
The New Town Lady Eagles ended their regular season on a high note Friday with a 69-30 thumping of the Lady Troopers of Garrison on Seniors Night at the Northern Lights Building in New Town. The Lady Eagles are the second ranked team in the North Dakota State Girls Basketball Poll heading into tournament play on Tuesday.
The Lady Eagles are 17-1. Their only loss was to number one ranked Bishop Ryan in the second game of the season.
The Lady Eagles were led by Gabby Wilkinson, who scored 18, and Taylor McGrady who had 13 points. The Lady Eagles limited the Lady Troopers to just two points in the first quarter and 10 in the first half to cruise the victory.
