Lady Eagles continue on a roll
By Jerry W. Kram

The New Town Lady Eagles cruised to a pair of easy victories this week defeating the Kenmare Honkers 79-23 and the Stanley Blue Jayes 82-31.
The Honkers never got their game in gear Monday as the Lady Eagles defense held them to just 10 points in the first half. Meanwhile, the New Town girls poured in 21 and 20 points in the first two quarters. The Honkers’ woes continued in the second half as New Town gave its bench some playing time. The Lady Eagles had nine players in scoring column by the end of the game. Baeleigh Brady led all scorers with 26 points and Gabby Wilkinson, Taylor McGrady and Jaye Two Bears also scored in double figures.
The Stanley Blue Jays didn’t put up much more of the challenge for the third ranked Lady Eagles. The Lady Eagles cruised to a 47-18 halftime lead and finished strong to win 82-31. New Town had eight players in the scoring column led by Gabby Wilkinsonson’s 18 points and Jaye Two Bears, Baeleigh Brady, Taylor McGrady and Mia Wilkinson scoring in double figures.
