Flynn perfect in season opener

New Town Eagles Senior Bronson Flynn was perfect in his debut wrestling meet, taking all three matches by pinfall.
Flynn, wrestling at 220 pounds hopes to earn a return trip to the North Dakota State Wrestling Tournament in February. In the first round, Flynn pinned Dallas Samdahl of Bowman County in 53 seconds. In the second round, Flynn pinned Brett Rowe of Watford City in 56 seconds. In the final match, he pinned Nate Boehm of Bowman County in 2:28.
“Anytime you need to stop the bleeding, you can count on Bronson,” said Eagles Head Coach Adam Hagen. “That’s nice to have.”
Brenden Kurzman took fourth place at 132 pounds for the Eagles. He lost by pinfall to Jayden Ybarra of Alexander, Jacoby Mattern of Bowman County and Liam Shannon of Watford City. Kurzman defeated Gary Cook of Alexander by pinfall in 3:28.
