Fimbres, Moran are Endurance Champions

It was a blustery day Saturday for the competitors in the Endurance Challenge Races held by MHA Tourism at the Earth Lodge Village. Jayli Fimbres overcame a tough challenger at the end and Tony Moran dominated the three mile run to both earn top honors and $1,000 each.
The race was divided into three events, kayaking, archery and a three mile run. A strong wind whipped up whitecaps on Lake Sakakawea, so organizers Darian and Jason Morsette decided to alter the kayak course. Instead of paddling from the village to the Four Bears Point and back, kayakers hugged the shore for about a half mile.
