Eagles sweep West Region Cross Country

Lady Braves grab third place
By Jerry W. Kram
The New Town Eagles Cross Country dynasty continued to roll as the Eagles claimed victory in the West Region as Jaiven Hale, Robert White and Ricardo Chase took first, second and fourth place. Hale is the defending state champion and looks to repeat this year.
The Lady Eagles took their own place on the podium with Hailey White Owl taking second place and Emma Wheeling finishing fifth.
“We really had a good day,” said New Town Head Coach Brian Anderson. “Both teams ran really well. We are looking at having a good two weeks of practice and doing good at the state meet. The boys are still favored to repeat again. We also think the girls can finish high again too. They finished fourth last year with a young team.”
The Parshall Lady Braves brought home some hardware by finishing third. They were led by Cedar and Jayln Hall, who finished seventh and eighth.
