Eagles runners qualify for state

Following is a summary of the Regional Track Meet held in Minot on Saturday, May 17.
In the girls division, Symbria Bell took 1st place in the 800 meter run and 2nd place in the 1600 meter run. She ran her fastest times ever in both of these races for a very strong effort. She has qualified both of these events plus the 3200 meter run for the state meet.
In the boys division, the boys team took home a trophy finishing in 3rd place out of the 14 teams in the region. In the throwing events Elijah Grady finished in 2nd place in the shot put and 3rd place in the discus. Daryl Grady finished in 4th in the shot put and Bronson Flynn was 7th in the discus.
In the running events the distance runners had a great day scoring 83 points in 4 events. In the 800 meter run, Ryan Wheeling took 1st place, Joe Chase 2nd, and Jalen Chase 3rd. In the 1600 meter run, Jalen Chase took 1st place, Chace Hale 2nd, and Scott Hale 3rd. For the 3200 meter run, Chace Hale won 1st place, Scott Hale 2nd, Jaiven Hale 4th, and Marc Bluestone was 7th. The 3200 meter relay team took 1st place with team members Joe Chase, Jalen Chase, Scott Hale, and Ryan Wheeling.
