Eagles runners continue winning ways

 

Following are summaries for 3 track meets New Town attended in the last 10 days.

April 28th at Rugby.

The boys team finished in 2nd place at the Rugby Invitational with 20 teams competing. Rugby won the meet with 125 points, New Town had 117, Des Lacs Burlington 91, Devils Lake 77, and Harvey Wells County 60 for the top five teams.

Placing for the Eagles were:

800 meter run: Scott Hale 1st, Joe Chase 2nd, Colby Antell 5th.

1600 meter run: Ryan Wheeling 1st, Daniel LeBeau 2nd, Jaiven Hale 7th.

Ryan set the meet record in this event as well.

3200 meter run: Jalen Chase 1st, Chace Hale 2nd, Daniel LeBeau 4th,

Jaiven Hale 5th. Jalen, Chace, and Daniel all ran state qualifying times and Jalen set the meet record.

3200 relay: 1st place and meet record. Team members were Scott Hale, Joe Chase, Jalen Chase, Ryan Wheeling.

Shot Put: Elijah Grady 1st, Daryl Grady 3rd

Discus: Elijah Grady 1st, Daryl Grady 4th

In girls division, Melayna Four Bear finished in 2nd place in the 1600 meter run.
