Eagles runner up in Region 8
Mandaree Warriors thrill in return to tournament

The New Town Eagles were not expected to do much at the beginning of the season, said Head Coach Robert White, “but we showed them,” he said.
The Eagles finished their season Saturday having won the District 15 Championship and runner up in the Region 8 Tournament in Williston along with a gaudy 20-4 record. They lost in the Championship Game to the Stanley Blue Jays by a score of 56-49.
“It’s been a strange tournament,” White said. “We never seemed to be able to get going in the first and second quarter. Third quarter we start getting warmed up and by the fourth quarter we just want to sprint and get to the finish line.”
