Eagles have first stumble of season
By Jerry W. Kram
It’s always interesting when two highly regarded undefeated teams face each other in the middle of the season. The New Town Eagles boys basketball team gave the number one ranked Class B team in North Dakota, the Stanley Blue Jays a scare before falling by ten, 83-73.
Stanley’s twin towers Kaedyn and Wyatt Hanson made their influence felt early in the game as the Blue jays jumped to a 18-8 lead in the first quarter. The Eagles impressed many by coming back to cut the lead to just four in the second quarter. However, the Blue jays regained their double digit lead in the third and never relinquished it.
