Eagles getting back on track
By Jerry. W. Kram
The New Town Eagles broke a three game losing streak by demolishing the Killdeer Cowboys 58-25 and then picking up a district win against the Trenton Tigers 66-52.
Head Coach Robert White said the team had lost its focus as it racked up losses to White Shield, Stanley and Heart River last week. The Eagles’ only victory last week before Tuesday was against a Killdeer team that hasn’t won a game all season. Getting a win against Trenton was a big boost for the team, White said.
“We were going through an identity crisis there for a little bit,” White said. “We had to change our lineup up and make some personnel adjustments. But we made big progress tonight. I think we found the right mixture but only time will tell.”
