Eagles fly in Mandan

 

The New Town Eagles showed their mettle as they placed well against Class A competion at the Mandan Cross CountryMeet on Saturday, Sept. 6.

The varsity boys team had another very strong effort and finished in 2nd place behind Bismarck High.

Bismarck had 31 points, the Eagles followed with 103, followed by Minot 138, Dickinson 155, Bismarck Century 157, and Williston 170 to round out the top 6 teams in a very large meet.

Leading the Eagles efforts were Ryan Wheeling 2nd place, Chace Hale 20th, Joe Chase 22nd, Daniel LeBeau 28th, and Jaiven Hale 31st. It was an excellent team effort with improved races by all 5 of the varsity team in a race with 98 total runners, said Head Coarch Brian Anderson.

For the Eagles junior high boys race Robert White placed 12th, Colby Antell 36th, and Ricardo Chase in 37th out of 93 total runners. They all ran better than the previous week and showed a great deal of improvement.
