Eagles fall to Pirates

By Jerry W. Kram

There were a few good performances on the field for the New Town Eagles last Friday, but the team found itself outgunned by the Tioga Pirates who dominated the game 36-6.
Head Coach Len Abrams wasn’t happy with his team’s performance.
“We didn’t perform tonight,” Abrams said. “To be honest we stunk it up. It’s discouraging, but tomorrow is another day. You get better and move on. We’ll see what happens.”
Abrams had senior quarterback Noah Wollschlager throwing more passes than past Eagles’ teams. He completed several long passes to receivers Terrance Steele and Shooter Bruce, but he was also victimized by a lot of dropped balls and four interceptions.
