Eagles drop home opener

The New Town Eagles took on Region 8 foe Trenton in the opening game of the 2019 volleyball season. The Tigers dominated the match 25-13, 25-7, 25-9.
The Eagles were at a distinct height disadvantage against the the Tigers, with middle hitter Brooklyn Fox at 5’10” and outside hitter Carly Froshaug at 5’9” going against 6’2 Kella Norby and 5’9” Jacee Turcotte.
The Eagles came out of the gate slow in the first set and quickly found themselves down 9-3. The only scored one point on serve when the score was 20-9. An exchange of side outs ended the set with the Tigers up 1-0 with a score of 25-13.
