Eagles, Braves runners head to state
The New Town Eagles Boys Cross Country team dominated the West Region Cross Country Meet held in Parshall Oct. 13 placing nine runners in the top 20. The Eagles Girls Team placed sixth with two runners finishing in the top 20.
Dailray Conner paced the Parshall Braves Boys team with a fourth place finish. Alexis Woods was the top finisher for the Lady Braves at 18th.
The Eagles won the boys’ division with 30 points, followed by Beulah/Hazen 93, Shiloh Christian 115, Bowman County 132 and Watford City 133 to complete the top 5 teams.
Placing for the Eagles were Scott Hale 3rd, Ryan Wheeling 5th, Dylan Bear 6th, Jalen Chase 7th, Chase Hale 9th, Joe Baker 10th, Wayne Fox 11th, Nape Fox 17th, Daniel LeBeau 18th, Terrance Steele 21st, and Isiah Hale 28th. They had 9 runners make the All-Region team.
In addition to Conner, Braves runners were Dylon Malnourie, 39th; Justin Hart, 51st and. Joseph Freeman, 56th.
