The New Town Eagles ended their 2010-2011 season with a third place finish at the State “B” Boys Basketball Tournament in Minot. The Eagles appearance in the state tournament was their first in 30 years. With that tournament concluding the basketball year, the Eagles lost seven players to graduation and have one returning starter in Preston Smith.
The Eagles began their 2011-2012 season with three games at home to start the year. The Kenmare Honkers traveled to the Northern Lights Building on Friday evening to tip-off the season.
