Eagle runners qualify for state

A trio of Eagles punched their ticket to the North Dakota Class B Track Meet with qualifying times in the 3200 meter and 1600 meter races at the Bison-Miner Classic in Hazen.
Robert White, Jaiven Hale and and Jalen Chase all beat the 10:20 mark in the 3200 meters to qualify for the state championships. White finished first with a time of 10:00.25. Hale was second and Chase was fourth. Hale also qualified for the 1600 meter race with a time of 4:37.01. The state qualifying time is 4:40. Chase finished third in the race with a time of 4:49.32.
The Eagles boys finished third in the meet with a total of 65 points, behind Des Lacs-Burlington and Carrington. Other top finishers for the Eagles were Bronson Flynn, who was second in the 800 meter race; Addison Red Fox, fifth in the 1600 meters; and Ricardo Chase, who was seventh in the 1600 meters and eighth in the 3200 meters. Kolby Overlie was eighth in the high jump with a leap of five feet eight inches.
