Area racers rally in Rugby

Area cross country runners gathered in Rugby for a final tune-up before the West Region meet in Beulah on Saturday. The New Town Boys team dominated the meet sweeping the top four spots and finishing with 17 points. The Parshall Braves Girls team also had a good meet, finishing sixth with three runners in the top 30.
The Eagles varsity girls team finished in ninth place out of the 27 teams competing. Leading the way was Tyleigh Brady in eighth place, Marveen Ross in 13th, and Jonna Brady 77th out of the 125 runners.
The Parshall Braves had three runners in the top 30, led by Lilly Dixon in 17th place, followed by Jalyn Hall, 22th and Cedar Hall 30th. Sidney Hall placed 74th, Aulora Severance 88th, Maxine Wilkinson 96th, and Journey Celo 114th.
The Mandaree Warriors placed 27th in the meet, with eighth grader Jesse Vigen leading the way at 98th, followed by Charisma Tsosie, 105th, and Julie Flying Horse 117th.
