Eagles getting back on track
The New Town Eagles broke a three game losing streak by demolishing the Killdeer Cowboys 58-25 and then picking up a district win against the Trenton Tigers 66-52.
Ice derby doubles in size
Snagging a record on Makoti Lake The Hiddenwood Sportsmen Club’s annual ice fishing derby brought in a record number of fishermen last weekend. The ice of Makoti Lake was supporting 163 people, along with numerous fish houses and vehicles, as well.

Both of the boys and girls varsity teams were on the hardwood as perennial rivals the New Town Eagles and Parshall Braves clashed in Parshall Tuesday.

The ‘palace in Parshall’ was rocking last week in what was one of the most exciting games of the season when the Parshall Braves boys team came back from a 15-point deficit in the second half to defeat the Lewis and Clark Bombers by the score of 61-59.

The New Town Eagles Boys and Girls Basketball teams traveled to Mandaree Tuesday and came away with a split decision.
Eagles hang on for first win
The New Town Eagles ran up the score in the first quarter and then hung on to pull out a 55-51 victory over the Powers Lake Ranchers in the team’s opening game of the 2018-19 season.

The District 15 Girls Basketball season has gotten off to a fast start with a dozen games in just the first week. However, area teams are having a tough go of it early on.

Braves end Eagle’s Season
It was a rebuilding season for the both the New Town Eagles and the Parshall Braves, and in the end the two teams faced each other in the Region Qualifying game of the District 15 Volleyball Tournament in New Town.
