Maverick pitchers deliver a perfect week
With six final games on the schedule last week, the Makoti pitching staff was taxed to the limit. In true Maverick style they came through in the clutch and Makoti ended the regular season on an eight-game winning streak.

Baker comes home with state title in the 800
It was nearly a one-man show for the New Town Eagles at the state track meet last weekend as Alex Baker scored more than half the Eagles points, winning the 800-meter run and taking third in the 1600 and 3200-meter runs.
New Town track teams compete at regional
New Town’s track teams competed in the Region 7 boys and girls track and field meets in Watford City with three athletes taking first place honors and two athletes finished in second place.
Eagles score 53 in conference track meet
New Town had two first-place winners, three second-place winners and a fourth-place winner to help the team finish seventh of 16 teams in the Northwest Conference track meet held Thursday in Tioga. New Town scored 53 on the day.
