Being an athlete means wanting to test yourself against the very best. For Native American high school basketball players, that means entering the Native American Basketball Invitational tournament held in Phoenix every July.

Nolan Hall is the 2013 South Dakota State High School Bull Riding Champion. The South Dakota State High School rodeo was held this June 19-23 in Belle Fourche, S.D. where 607 contestants competed for a birth to the National High School Finals

The Lady Eagles of New Town will make their second consecutive trip to the North Dakota State Class B Girls Basketball Tournament having defeated the Watford City Wolves 69-56 in the Region 8 Tournament held at Williston State College Wednesday.
