Eagles rumble to victory

The New Town Eagles got their 2014 football season off to a hot start with a 18-0 victory over the Parshall-White Shield Braves in the first game of the season Tuesday night.

The Class A American Legion State tournament didn’t go well for the Makoti Mavericks. Coming in as the No.2 seed from the West, Makoti was hoping make a deep run in the tournament. But after two big losses the Mavericks were done.

Youth League Baseball has begun at the New Town Softball Field on Wednesday afternoons. Wednesday, July 2, White Shield will play Parshall at 1 p.m. and Twin Buttes will play Mandaree at 2:30 p.m. July 9, Mandaree will play New Town/Four Bears at 1 p.m. and Parshall will play Twin Buttes at 2:30.
