Lady Eagles start year 2-2
It has been an up and down beginning for the New Town Eagles girls basketball team in the first week of their 2014-15 campaign. They reeled off two quick wins over Ray and Bottineau but dropped their next two games to Bishop Ryan and Dickinson Trinity.

A trio of boxers who call Mandaree home will be battling in the undercard of a professional boxing match at the Fargo Civic Center on Dec. 13.
Lady Storm fall in home opener
The Fort Berthold Community College Lady Storm might have enjoyed some home cooking, but the injury plagued women’s basketball team wasn’t cooking on the floor as they fell to the Bismarck State College Lady Mystics by a score of 93-57 at the New Town High School Gymnasium on Nov. 19.

For a while there, it looked like the team with the ball last would win Friday night’s game between the New Town Eagles and the Kenmare-Bowbells-Burke County Honkers.
Eagles rough up the Raiders
The New Town Eagles Football team combined some aerial acrobatics with good old-fashioned smashmouth football to win their second homecoming game in as many years, outscoring the Drake-Anamoose Raiders 36-26.
