New Town brings home state crown
The New Town Eagles opened their athletic year with a state cross country championship and are ending it with a state track and field championship.
Area track stars qualify for state meet
Five Parshall Braves and 11 New Town Eagles have qualified for the North Dakota Class B Track and Field Meet to be held at the Community Bowl in Bismarck on May 22-23.
Eagles runners continue winning ways
The boys team finished in 2nd place at the Rugby Invitational with 20 teams competing. Rugby won the meet with 125 points, New Town had 117, Des Lacs Burlington 91, Devils Lake 77, and Harvey Wells County 60 for the top five teams.
Middle School golf champions
New Town middle school girls are the Northwest conference champions.
Eagles continue to thrive on the track
The boys team finished in 5th place at the Dickinson Carlson Booster on April 9 with 65 points. Bismarck won the meet with 156, Minot 2nd with 121, Dickinson 3rd at 98, Glendive 4th with 68 to make up the top 5 teams.
Eagles tracksters rack up wins
The Eagles boys team won the NDSU Indoor meet on March 2eighth with a great team effort. They scored 90 points to win the meet. Lisbon had 69, Grafton 58, Carrington 47, and Watford City 40 to round out the top 5.
Braves take sixth at state Class B
It wasn’t quite the dream ending to a tough season the Parshall Braves were looking for, but they could still hold their heads up high with a sixth place finish in the North Dakota State Class B Boys Basketball Tournament.
Eagles fall in Region 8 final
In a see-saw battle where both teams had double digit leads, the Parshall Braves had the last run that propelled them past a tough New Town Eagles team to punch their ticket to the North Dakota State Class B Boys Basketball Tournament.
When you have a long history of excellence like the Parshall High School athletic program, it’s hard to be the first of anything.
New Town Lady Eagles take fourth in Region
The New Town Eagles saw their season come to an end with a loss in the third place game of the Region 8 Girls Basketball Tournament in New Town on Monday.
