4-H Horse Show
Families involved in the horsemanship project gathered at the Mountrail County Fair Association Indoor Arena in Stanley for the annual 4-H Horse Show on Friday, June 15. A total of 17 contestants participated in the event accounting for 170 separate entries. Riders competed in three age divisions in each class with the top four placing contestants awarded points towards the overall champion honors. We also had a Cloverbud Division (3-7 year olds) who received participation ribbons. The 4-H Horse Show is an open show so two youth from Ward County and one youth from Williams County participated as well as four non-4-H members.
In the 15-18 year old age division, Hannah Hornberger of Blaisdell, Mountrailsmen 4-H Club, received Grand Champion honors. Hannah received an award sponsored by Jack & Judy Cvancara of Ross in memory of Andy Moore. Reserve Champion honors was awarded to Wyatt Woodbury of Stanley, Rolling Plains 4-H Club.
