Voters declare tribal business council winners
Voters declare tribal business council winners Unofficial results are in for the Three Affiliated Tribes Business Council seats and a referendum question regarding tribal enrollment. In the New Town Segment, Scott Eagle was declared the winner with 369 votes to Donna Morgan’s, 349 votes. In the White Shield Segment, Frank White Calf edged out Fred Fox by three votes, 195-192. The Mandaree Segment saw Arnie Strahs come out as the top vote getter with 101 votes. He was followed by Ted Lone Fight III, 93, Charlie Vigen, 81, Lyle Gwin, 41, Nathan Good Iron, 3 and Katherine Young Bear did not receive any votes. The referendum question pertaining to tribal enrollment criteria passed overwhelmingly with 1,297 yes votes vs. 589 against.
