Joshua Bell is home in Mandaree now after one tour in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan. He was welcomed home by VFW Post 9061 and American Legion Myron Johnson-Nathan Good Bird Post 271 of Mandaree as they gathered with family, friends and community members for the annual Veterans Day Observance at the Northern Lights building in New Town.

Bell, whose native name is Bear Necklace, joined other veterans for honoring by the public. Bell danced with veterans and family members as they paid special tribute to him with a homecoming song. Bell was joined by his two children, daughter, Keyra, 4, son, Memphis, 7, and his Mother, Doreen Young Bird Charging. Bell’s wife, Angela Bell also served five years in the Army. She is in Round Rock, Texas, currently preparing a home where the couple plans to settle. Bell’s third son, Vincent Villareal, 9, is with his mother.
