Subway opens in New Town

New Town’s new Subway quietly opened its doors July 8, and franchise owner, Craig Bell, was still putting on the finishing touches a week later.
Despite the soft opening, Bell said he is not lacking for customers. Word of mouth has seemed to drive customer interest.
“From the day we opened, we have experienced a brisk business,” Bell said. “At noon especially, we have had long lines. That tells me we will not have to do a grand opening.”
Bell brings a wealth of experience to his recent venture in New Town as he has worked with Subway franchises for 18 years. He moved to the area six years ago and owns franchises in Watford City and Stanley as well as eight Subways in Minnesota.
Bell said he will operate his business with a total of 18 employees and Jon Van De Velde is the New Town Subway Manager.
