Striding into the future

Seventeen college graduates and seven GED recipients strode across the stage for Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College’s Spring Commencement ceremony at the 4 Bears Event Center Friday.
The College awarded a bachelor’s degree in Native American studies, associate’s degrees in seven subject area and professional certificates in construction technology and welding technology. Family members from across Fort Berthold and beyond cheered loudly as their graduates crossed the stage. They were waiting at the end with gifts and cameras to commemorate the special occasion.
College President Twyla Baker said she is proud of the 2019 graduating class and looks forward to seeing what they accomplish in the future.
