Ronald Johnson, a 74-year-old man from Riverdale, went missing Oct. 15 and authorities have found little evidence of his whereabouts or his 1982 gold Fleetwood Cadillac since then. Increased cooperation from other agencies may be just what is needed to find Johnson.
Johnson was last seen on video leaving the Four Bears Casino in New Town the morning of Oct. 16, heading towards New Town on North Dakota Highway. 23.
Sue Trautman, Johnson’s daughter, is also from Riverdale and said she hopes everyone could remember that the search is not over. It’s far from over for Trautman who lives close to her father’s home and looks for his return daily.
Aaron Matties, a McLean County deputy, has been heading up the investigation and continues to follow up on any leads. He continues to do drives in the area in search of the vehicle or evidence of it leaving the road. The Civil Air Patrol has performed a fly over of the areas from Riverdale to Dickinson and New Town without any findings.
Trautman and her husband Kevin took the route to Devils Lake, looking closely at every place that the vehicle may have strayed from the road. They made a similar trip to New Town and the water along the edge of Hwy 23 was hard to look at as Trautman imagines that at this point, anything could have happened.
