Reward offered for horse killers
Daryl Pennington is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for killing two one-month old colts on his ranch three miles north of the Scenic 23 on North Dakota Highway 8 sometime Monday June 24.
Pennigton was in Montana over the weekend and found the two registered colts shot when he returned on Monday. Pennington said neighbors told him the colts were alive Sunday afternoon. A paint colt, named Whiskers, was worth about $1,500. A dunn-bay mixed quarter horse colt was worth $2,500. The horses belonged to a three year old girl and a six year old girl.
